The Christmas Gift is To the Pointe’s original Christmas Production. It was written by TTP Directors Lindsay Dixon and Olivia Hamilton in 2017 and has returned each December. Set in the 1950’s, The Christmas Gift tells the story of Rose and her magical journey to discover that Christmas is more than tinsel, presents, candy canes, and hot chocolate. The Diamond Princess, with the help of her Jewels and fireflies, leads Rose through the extravagance of Christmas Wonderland to a simple scene that depicts the greatest gift the world has ever known, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Rose is forever changed through an encounter with an unlikely friend that is sure to bring everyone into the true spirit of Christmas. It is a heart-warming message of faith, love, and giving.
